Monthly Bird Walk on Pepper Creek trail

Leaders from Citrus County Audubon take birders on this guided walk.

Participants should meet by the flagpole outside the Visitor Center entrance at 7:45 AM. The walk begins promptly at 8:00 AM.

Registration is recommended.

Bring binoculars and a field guide if you have them.

This leisurely-paced walk is on a handicapped accessible (paved) trail that winds through a hydric hammock along Pepper Creek.

The trail is 0.75 miles long, and you may walk back or return to the Visitor Center on the first return boat of the day leaving at 9:30 AM from the West Entrance.

Haunted Tram Rides

Haunted House: $2.00 donation

A Haunted House for children, costume contests, face painting and a 15 foot slide are included. Refreshments will be available. The Haunted Tram Rides event takes place behind the Visitor Center and main entrance on U.S. 19.

This fund-raising event is sponsored by the Friends of Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park and benefits park projects.

Ranger Program: Museum Area

Take part in a ranger program which occurs every Saturday. Topics vary, but each program is an opportunity to learn something new about Silver Springs State Park and Florida’s unique environment.

Enter the Riverside of the park at the entrance off of SR 35 (Baseline Rd.). The program will be held in the amphitheater at 5:00PM.

Cracker Village Tour
