Wakulla Wildlife Festival

The festival is a celebration of outdoor activities and area heritage. Local musicians, artists, and experts offer a one-of-a-kind experiences, helpful advice, and personal enrichment in a neighborhood family atmosphere.

The festival continues to include the ever-popular premium guided tours, living history demonstrators and children's activities. Special Bird of Prey and Reptile Shows presented by the Center for Wildlife Education of Georgia Southern University are always crowd pleasers. Exhibitors on the main festival grounds will introduce guests to a wide assortment of outdoor activities and provide close encounters with area wildlife. Bluegrass music will also enliven events on the main festival grounds.

A $6 per vehicle donation to The Friends of Wakulla Springs supports the shows and programs of the festival.

Florida Friendly Landscape and Garden Tour

Visiting 3 Florida-Friendly™ landscaped yards in the High Springs area. Meet at the High Springs Community Garden (located just east of the High Springs Police Station), 110 NW 2nd Avenue, High Springs. We will drive caravan style to the sites.

Florida-Friendly™ yards help to protect our water resources by putting the right plant in the right place and minimizing fertilizer and pesticide use. This tour will highlight examples of landscaping techniques and low maintenance plants that really work in our unique growing conditions.
