$5 per vehicle up to eight people.

Weekend package: $150 per person, includes camping fees, all meals, shuttle to paddling sites and entry to all presentations, Water Expo and benefit concert.

Per day package: $75 per person, per day plus $25 per person/boat/gear for the shuttle.

Experience paddling, music, hiking and a Water Expo on Paddle Florida’s third annual Suwannee River Paddling Festival. This season’s finale is beautifully situated atop the bluffs overlooking the confluence of the scenic Suwannee and Withlacoochee Rivers. Suwannee River State Park is the home base for this year’s festival featuring paddling trips on both rivers, a benefit concert and real Florida fun.

Paddlers will explore Suwannee and Withlacoochee Rivers in segments ranging from 13 to 20 miles on Saturday, April 4 and Sunday, April 5. Both rivers glide by dozens of clear beautiful springs perfect for a refreshing swim and snorkeling. On Saturday, April 4, a Water Expo at Suwannee River State Park will showcase regional conservation efforts and local outdoor recreation vendors.

This year’s benefit concert on Saturday evening will feature two of Paddle Florida’s favorite musicians: Katherine Archer and Grant Peeples. A manatee fanatic long before she ever met one, Archer wrote her first mandolin tune Manatee Waltz after her first encounters with the graceful water muse in Titusville. She is a dynamic live performer, creating an intimate and powerful bond with her audience. Grant Peeples uses wit, precision, humor and humanity in his melodies to reveal some of life’s most uncomfortable truths. His music has garnered critical acclaim and top rankings on the folk, roots and Americana radio charts. Proceeds from the concert will benefit the Howard T. Odum Florida Springs Institute, an organization founded to improve the understanding of springs ecology and to develop science-based education and management actions needed to restore and protect springs throughout Florida. Admission is $25 per person.

Paddle Florida leads trips across the state to promote Florida as an international destination for nature-based tourism in general and paddling in particular. Designated a nonprofit in 2011, Paddle Florida fosters water conservation, wildlife preservation, springs restoration, and waterways protection. The Florida Keys Challenge January video is an example of other Paddle Florida experiences.
