A family-friendly event, the "Silver Glen Springs Celebration," is planned for Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The event will include informational booths about wildlife and natural features as well as the human history of the area. Well-known underwater photographer, Eric Hutcheson, will show his photographs and speak about springs conservation. There will be a food truck, nature hike down to the springs and lots of information and entertainment! The Ocala National Forest is waiving the entry fee into Silver Glen Springs for the event. This is sure to be a fun community event to celebrate this unique and valuable ecosystem.

Morning Nature Walk

Meet in the lobby of the Lodge at Wakulla Springs.

Join a ranger-led trek through Wakulla Springs State Park’s varying forest communities. Forest wildflowers are blooming. Migrating songbirds are passing through. The habitat beckons. Let your guide make the most of your visit as he points out nature's nuances. Arrive early and fuel up with breakfast prior to the walk in the historic Wakulla Springs Lodge.

Essential Eligibility Criteria: In order to participate in this program, one:

- Must have the ability to follow visual and/or verbal instruction independently or with the assistance of a companion;

- Must have the ability to withstand exposure to the outdoors for 2 hours;

- Must have the ability to traverse uneven terrain for 2 miles, independently or with the assistance of a companion.

The Ocala Plein Air Painters meet the second Saturday of each month to capture the beauty of Silver Springs State Park. Come out and watch a canvas come to life. Some pieces are available for purchase in the art gallery located in the Lundy Center.

Cracker Village Tour

Camper's Campfire Program
