Florida Springs Institute
The Howard T. Odum Florida Springs Institute was founded earlier this year to provide a focal point for springs science, restoration, and protection.
Current projects include an assessment of springs ecological health in Marion County and a pilot SPRINGSWATCH project at Silver Springs. Please visit the web site to learn more about the Florida Springs Institute and what you can do to assist with the wise management of Florida's unique spring's resources.
The Florida Springs Institute will have its inaugural reception on January 20, 2011 in High Springs, Florida. Attend this event to meet the Director and the Advisory Board and to discuss plans to help expedite the restoration and protection of Florida's springs.
